I'm Jasmin, a solo maker. I built Team Navigator after one too many trips where someone wandered off and we burned half an hour rounding everyone back up.
The core idea is simple: your whole group on one live map, in real time. It's made for tour guides, hiking clubs, school-trip organizers — or just friends travelling together. Beyond the live map there's one-tap SOS, meeting points with safe-zone alerts, in-app pings, and local emergency numbers for whatever country you're in.
Privacy mattered from day one: your location stays inside your group, everything runs on my own servers, and I never sell data. No ads, ever.
A bit of what's under the hood: this is several months of work — over 30,000 lines of code across 200+ files, running on three separate servers. It started as an experiment with open-source tools and grew into something I funded myself to get privacy and control right: a self-hosted database, a self-hosted WebSocket server, and a self-hosted Valhalla routing engine that will power the navigation coming next.
It's a free Android beta right now (iOS and voice turn-by-turn navigation are next). Download is on the site — on some phones you'll need to allow "install from unknown sources"; there's a quick guide right under the button.
