Hi PH👋 I am Diego, the founder of Teache. Teache is a mobile app that connects users with instructors for in-person classes. These classes can be almost anything, from skydiving to firewalking to math. As long as there is an expert on the subject, there can be a class. I created Teache for two main reasons: 🌟For the instructors: While in Hawaii during the pandemic, I wanted to learn freediving and surfing. Despite the abundance of locals with expertise in these subjects, there were only two shops on the entire island where I could book a lesson. I realized that many experts in specific subjects lack the financial means not only to open their own store but also to attract customers. Teache allows instructors to open their own store on our platform for free, while we invest in bringing customers to them. 🌟For the customers: Every weekend, I wake up to the same question from my wife: "What are we doing today?" and spend time trying to figure out new activities we could do. Even though I live in New York, a city with numerous entertainment options, I found myself doing the same things every week (bars and restaurants). With Teache, the idea is to have a wide range of activities, new experiences, and lessons we can enjoy from local instructors, all on one platform. We focus on in-person classes to encourage disconnecting, being offline, and having personal experiences with others. 🌐The app is currently available on iOS and Android. While the app is available nationwide, we are currently investing in New York as our initial market. Please let me know if you have any feedback!

Congrats on the launch! Connecting people offline is definitely a challenge, but you've nailed it! I just tried it out in my city, and it works pretty well!

This is super cool! If I can be honest, I didn't like the landing page, it's good but can be improved.

I have tried to install it on iPhone and Android, but on both devices, it says 'This item is not available in your country'. I'm from Australia. Also, just out of curiosity, why didn't you create a simple HTML version, I mean a website?

Teache sounds like an incredible app that fills a unique niche in the market! The idea of connecting users with local experts for a diverse range of in-person classes is brilliant. It’s fantastic to see how Teache supports instructors by giving them a platform to share their knowledge and skills without the overhead costs of a physical store. Kudos to you for addressing such a practical need and making it accessible for everyone.

Love this idea! Congrats guys! Not everyone has the time or patience to struggle with multiple failed google searches or wasting time trying to find local services on Google maps only to miss out on the amazing instructors offering online courses only or to be bombarded with sub-par instructors who paid to promote their listing. I am curious about how you vet the instructors. I do see that you mentioned suspending instructors who get multiple bad reviews, but as a user, I wouldn't want to try out an instructor whose expertise isn't vetted and risk spending my money on a bad experience. So I'm curious about what the threshold might be for a bad instructor to be suspended and how you pre-vet any instructors looking to list their services on Teache.

since this is for in person classes, are there any countries you are focusing now?

Calling all life long learners to assemble! This looks fantastic- congratulations on the launch 🚀

This is a pretty cool platform! There are tons of services that can't rely on Google Maps for students to discover, because instructors simply have no physical addresses. In the past, I've seen this personally with driving instructors and fitness instructors. I think with a marketplace, the hardest part is getting a good amount of supplies and demands. So there would be a lot of work to start scaling. What are your thoughts on getting supplies onto the platform? Regardless, congrats @diegdieg0 and team! A much needed platform!

Teache.co has impressed me with its user-friendly interface, making it a breeze to navigate and set up courses.

Interesting concept. However, it's a two-sided marketplace, so it will be difficult to get both sides on board at the same time. Which side are you most focused on right now? What's your approach with this platform?

Congratulations on the launch! Teache looks really cool, especially for someone like me who loves learning all kinds of things. As a target user, I often find myself unsure of what exactly I'm looking for when I enter the platform. How does the platform efficiently match or recommend interesting content and help me find the perfect teacher? Thank you!
