What inspired us to build Tayr?
Living in Moroccan cities, we noticed a frustrating gap: citizens see urban
problems every day β broken sidewalks, illegal dumping, visual clutter β but
have no easy way to report them and no visibility into whether anything gets
fixed.
We built Tayr to change that. It's a simple, transparent platform where anyone
can snap a photo, pinpoint the location, and send the report directly to the
right municipal office. The municipality gets notified, fixes the issue, and
documents the resolution β all visible to the public.
Our approach evolved from a simple idea into a full accountability loop:
report β notify β fix β document β evaluate. We're already covering 14 cities
and have resolved 14+ reports with 173 citizen confirmations.
This is just the beginning. We believe cleaner cities start with engaged
citizens, and Tayr is here to make that engagement effortless.
Honestly this is a really cool idea, especially the citizen confirmation step since it actually closes the loop. The interactive map is pretty smooth to browse too, kind of makes you wonder why nobody built this for morocco sooner.
