I follow macro/finance creators with a specific market view and wondered if they were outliers or part of a larger undiscovered cluster. YouTube recommends videos, not creators. So I built a similarity engine: type in a channel you watch, get ranked similar creators with a one-line explanation of why they match. 107 hand-picked channels. No backend, no database, no tracking, zero running cost.
I built this because I kept searching Reddit for "channels like X" and getting stale threads. YouTube recommends videos, not creators, so finding people who think like the ones you already follow is weirdly hard.
The engine uses sentence-transformers running locally on my laptop, no API calls, zero running cost. The entire backend is a single 160KB JSON file serving 107 hand-picked finance channels across macro, index investing, FIRE, and stock analysis.
Genuinely curious for feedback: type in someone you watch and tell me if you found a creator you didn't know about.
