Hi Product Hunt!
I built tastecheck.me because I was always fascinated by achievement systems like Steam and Genshin Impact's. That little dopamine hit of unlocking something based on what you actually do. I wanted to bring that same feeling to Last.fm, since as far as I know there are only a handful of alternatives out there doing something similar
How it works: every achievement is curated and analyzed based on your real listening data pulled from the Last.fm API. Unlock an achievement and your level goes up, so your profile literally grows as you listen. There's also a compare feature to see how your taste stacks up against a friend's and a "Joint Roast" feature where the AI roasts both of you together based on your combined taste: built with a passive-aggressive, witty, playful teasing tone (not a diss contest, more "friends dragging each other lovingly")
It's fully open source and free to use
One honest ask: please don't over-abuse the AI roast feature... 😅
