Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built Tasker because I kept rebuilding my week from memory. Timesheets on Friday, a status update on Monday, a performance review reconstructed from six weeks of vague recollection. The tools that solve this either want you to remember to start a timer — which defeats the point — or want your entire browsing history on their servers. So Tasker does it the other way round. It watches your active tab, sorts sites into categories (Development, Research, Communication…), pauses itself when you go idle, and at the end of the day writes you a Markdown log. At the end of the month, a recap with your focus score, active days, and where the hours actually went. The part I care most about: your history never leaves your machine. It sits in chrome.storage.local. Drive sync writes to your Drive using the narrow drive.file scope, so it can only touch files it created. The optional AI summary sends aggregate category totals — "Development: 58 hours" — and never a single URL or page title. Turn it off and recaps are generated fully offline. One honest limitation: it only sees Chrome. Time in your editor, on calls, or in desktop apps is invisible to it.
