- Resume exactly where you left off. Switching between projects often means remembering file names, finding folders, searching browser tabs, and remembering where you stopped and where to start next. TaskAnchor lets you save everything into an Anchor and restore your workspace in seconds. Capture files, folders, URLs, notes, and more so you can resume work without rebuilding your context every time.
Hi everyone! 👋
I’m an independent macOS developer, and I built TaskAnchor because I was tired of rebuilding my workspace—and my mental context—every time I switched tasks or projects.
Every switch meant reopening IDEs, VS Code workspaces, browser tabs, folders, documents, repositories, and notes. It usually only took a few minutes, but those minutes added up. More importantly, rebuilding everything created enough friction that it became harder to restart, harder to think, and harder to stay focused.
TaskAnchor lets you save your working context as an Anchor. When you’re ready to continue, a Restart Card helps you reopen everything with a single click, so you can return to work exactly where you left off.
This is the first public release, and I’d genuinely love your feedback. If anything feels confusing, missing, or could work better, please let me know. Thanks for checking it out!
The browser tab restoration alone is worth it for me. Been juggling client work across four projects and the context-switch cost has basically vanished since I started using it.
the "save everything into an Anchor and restore your workspace in seconds" framing is genuinely smart — it reframes context-switching as a thing you can preserve rather than a thing you have to fight. wish i'd had this during my last big multi-project sprint.
