Hi everyone! I'm Tali, and I made The Tarot Almanac.
My first tarot cards were passed down to me when I was 11. My day job runs on logic and systems, and tarot has always been the other half for me, the thing that gets people talking about their hopes and fears.
What bugged me about most tarot apps is that the cards are random. Pull again and you get something else. Astrology doesn't work that way. Nobody shuffles the sky. Your birth chart is fixed, and an astrologer reads what's there. I found the answer in tarot numerology.
So every day in the Almanac already has its cards, set by tarot numerology. One is the collective card we all share. The other is your personal card, set by your birthday. The gap between them is your Bearing, and it never changes. It's the angle you bring to every day.
The biggest change along the way was the math. The traditional method adds up the digits of a date until it's a single small number, which means about half the Major Arcana can never come up. So the Almanac wraps around the full wheel of twenty-two instead. Every card is in play, and you can work out any day by hand.
I don't know if I believe in fate. I do think we get a choice, every day, about what we do with what we're handed. The Almanac helps you see what you're being handed.
