I am Danny, the creator of TarantulaHub.
I built this platform because, like many keepers in the exotic pet and invertebrate hobby, I was frustrated with managing a growing collection using messy spreadsheets, chaotic note apps, and outdated phone logs.
Tarantula husbandry is a game of precision. Tracking specific molt cycles, calculating feeding cadences, and monitoring vital data like fang hardening windows can get overwhelming fast. I wanted to design a clean, modern web app that respects user privacy completely, keeping your personal collection data secure and private while automating the stressful scheduling parts of the hobby.
Right now, we have 255 open and public species care guides integrated directly into our core data fields to make onboarding seamless for both beginners and veteran collectors. If there is a specific species you keep that we do not have listed yet, let me know in the comments and I will get it added for you.
The site is constantly under active development. I am adding new features all the time, so your feedback right now is incredibly valuable for shaping the roadmap.
