I’m Deivid, founder of Tapzo.
I first launched Tapzo back in 2022 with a simple idea: make the traditional business card smarter, more useful, and less wasteful.
Back then, that meant NFC business cards. Physical cards people could tap to instantly share their details. That early version of Tapzo helped us work with thousands of users and win multiple awards.
But over time, we realised NFC cards were only part of the answer.
Traditional business cards have a lot of problems. They get lost, go out of date, end up in bins, and give you no idea whether someone actually saved your details.
The bigger issue is that the way we connect has completely changed.
Today, people need to share far more than a name, job title, email, and phone number. We share websites, booking links, portfolios, social profiles, reviews, menus, lead forms, payment links, and more.
A paper card simply can’t keep up with that.
We also felt something important was missing from the market: a genuinely useful free digital business card.
Digital business cards should not only be for large teams with big budgets, or for people ready to pay before they have even tried one. They should be accessible to anyone who wants a better way to share who they are and what they do.
So today, we’re launching the next version of Tapzo.
