TapOkie Work
Lone worker safety without a call centre or contract
TapOkie Work is lone worker safety for small teams — without a call centre or long contract. Workers tap Start Visit on arrival and End Visit when they leave. If checkout is missed or SOS, managers get email and browser push (location when captured). Escalation notifies a backup if nobody acknowledges. Built for care visits, estate viewings, charity outreach, and field engineers. From $5/worker/month, cancel anytime, setup in minutes. 10-minute warning before alerts fire cuts false alarms.
We built this because lone worker safety is stuck between two bad options.
Option 1: WhatsApp — “text when you’re done.” No timestamps, no escalation, nothing to show an inspector when they ask what your process was.
Option 2: Enterprise platforms — Peoplesafe, StaySafe, etc. Often a call centre (ARC), a two-year contract, and pricing that assumes you have a safety department. Fine if you’re NHS-scale. Rough if you’re a 12-person care agency or estate branch.
TapOkie Work is the third path.
Workers tap Start Visit when they arrive alone and End Visit when they leave. Managers get a live board plus email and browser push if checkout is missed or someone hits SOS — with location when it was captured. If nobody acknowledges, escalation goes to a backup manager. Everything is timestamped and exportable (PDF/CSV/Excel) if you need records for insurers, clients, or inspections.
No ARC required. No long contract. From $5/worker/month.
The design choice we cared most about: false alarms.
Most tools fire the moment a session runs a few minutes late. Managers mute notifications. Alerts stop working. We warn the worker 10 minutes before anything fires — so late jobs don’t train people to ignore real emergencies.
Who it’s for: care visits, estate viewings, charity outreach, field engineers — small teams that need a real process, not a call-centre seat.
Try this first: add one worker, run a test visit, let the session expire without ending it — see the warning, then the alert flow.
We’re not consumer TapOkie (daily personal check-ins for families) — that’s tapokie.com. This is the employer product: work.tapokie.com → signup at dashboard.tapokie.com.
Would love honest feedback — especially if you’ve bought (or refused) lone worker software for a small team. Does the “no ARC, no contract” positioning land? What would make you trust it for your team?
Thanks for reading. 🙏
