I’m Michael, the creator of TandemTales.
As a parent, I wanted to create something that didn’t simply give children more screen time, but inspired parents and kids to spend meaningful time together. I felt guilty that I didn't spend enough time with my 6 year old boy - Alex.
That idea became eventually morphed into TandemTales.
Families choose a fun real-world mission—or create an adventure of their own—then complete it together and take photos along the way. TandemTales transforms those moments into a personalized illustrated storybook starring the family themselves, based on ANY prompt you can image. Make my kids fighting Dragons? Sure. Turn them into lego versions of themselves? No problem. Take a picture of a random moth, and make him Godzilla destroying a fictional city... yeah, it'll do that for you too.
You might build a blanket-fort kingdom, hunt for hidden treasure, become backyard scientists, or invent an adventure completely from your imagination. Families can choose from 12 different illustration styles and save their finished stories in their private Vault to revisit anytime. Your photo's NEVER get uploaded or saved into the database.
The technology helps create the story, but the real product is the memory made before the storybook ever appears.
