I built TalkPrep because I kept rehearsing hard conversations in my head, (e.g.: salary talks, interviews, explaining my work) and still fumbling them out loud. It's an AI speech coach you can talk to. Pick a question, answer it aloud, and get a score, a transcript with your filler words flagged, and clear feedback on what to fix. Quick story on why this exists. I'd spend the whole night running answers in my head for a job interview, feel ready, then get in the room and immediately say something I didn't mean. Same thing with salary talks. Same thing the first few times someone asked me what I actually do.
Turns out thinking through what you'll say and saying it out loud are not the same thing at all. A speech therapist told me that. I still never made myself actually practice, because it felt weird talking to nobody and there was no feedback.
So I built TalkPrep. Pick a question, answer it out loud, and get back a score, a transcript with your filler words flagged, and one note on what to change next time. I wanted what a good coach would actually say: short, specific, helpful.
A few things I'd love your take on: - Are the scenarios the ones you'd actually want to practice? What's missing? - Is one note per attempt enough, or do you want a "go deeper" button? - If you've tried other speaking tools and didn't like it, what was the reason?
