talkflow
100% free, open-source, and private alternative to WisprFlow
TL;DR: Free, open-source dictation for Mac and Windows. Hold fn, talk, let go, and your words get typed into any app. It runs on your own computer, so it works offline.
Hey Product Hunt, I’m Samir. I built talkflow because I wanted to talk instead of type, and the good dictation apps either charge monthly or send your voice to a server.
talkflow runs Whisper on your machine, so nothing you say leaves it. There’s no account and no word limit. It handles punctuation and lists, cuts out the “um”s, and learns words you correct. The code is on GitHub under MIT.
It’s early, so I’d love to know what breaks and which app you try it in first. I’ll be here all day answering everything.

talkflow was hunted by Samir Kharel. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
