I'm Andrei, and my cofounder Marius and I have spent the last ~7 months building Talara.
The problem we kept running into evaluating other tools: every "AI-powered" ATS on the market had bolted AI onto a platform designed years before GDPR erasure rights, the EU AI Act, or disparate-impact scrutiny existed. That's not a UI gap, it's architectural debt, audit logs that embed PII and can't survive an erasure request, AI features quietly disabled the moment you have EU data, human oversight that's a UI convention instead of something the database actually enforces. So we started from a blank page instead of retrofitting.
Our approach changed a lot along the way. We built a drag-and-drop career site editor first, since that's what everyone expects, then killed it once it was clear recruiters just wanted to describe the change in plain English and have the AI make it, two parallel editors was worse than committing to one.
The core bet, and the thing I'd most love feedback on: Tally, our AI agent, doesn't just read your data and hand you a report, it actually writes back, wherever your team already works, inside Talara, in Slack/Teams, or directly in Claude, gated by a human confirmation step before anything touches a candidate's record.
