Tabletop Maker Lab brings together 37 free calculators, practical guides, and reference resources for board game creators and indie publishers. It helps users evaluate probabilities, components, manufacturing quotes, landed costs, pricing, margins, crowdfunding budgets, inventory, and reprint timing. Unlike generic calculators, each tool includes clear inputs, result interpretation, practical examples, assumptions, and limitations.
I built Tabletop Maker Lab because board game creators often have to make expensive production and publishing decisions using scattered spreadsheets, rough estimates, and incomplete information.
The goal was to bring the most useful planning calculations into one free, focused resource. The site now includes 37 calculators covering game math, components, manufacturing, freight, pricing, crowdfunding, royalties, inventory, and publishing.
I also wanted the tools to explain more than just the final number, so each page includes input guidance, result interpretation, practical examples, assumptions, and limitations.
I would especially appreciate feedback from designers and publishers about missing calculations, confusing inputs, or production decisions that deserve a dedicated tool.
