Happy Tuesday guys 👋, I’m Gustav, let me tell you about two things I like. I like building products, and I like to learn new stuff. Above is our product, tabExtend, now in version 2.0 and beyond 🧑‍🚀. The main idea is that you simply get a Kanban board where you can drop off your tabs, add notes, reminders, etc, etc. And in honor of the Kanban, here’s some interesting facts about them: "Origin Story: Kanban originated in Japan, and the term "Kanban" literally translates to "visual card" or "signboard" in Japanese. The system was initially developed by Toyota in the 1940s and 1950s to improve manufacturing efficiency and is part of the lean manufacturing system. Taiichi Ohno, an industrial engineer at Toyota, developed Kanban to improve manufacturing processes. He was inspired by the way supermarkets stocked their shelves based on what consumers took rather than by vendor pushes, mirroring a "pull" system. Fun Fact: When Ohno first introduced the Kanban system, he utilized actual physical cards placed in clear plastic boxes. When a worker or station needed more parts, they would send their Kanban card to the upstream station. This simple yet effective visual management tool helped workers easily determine what needed to be produced and in what quantity. Current State: Kanban has since moved beyond just manufacturing and has been embraced by industries worldwide, especially in software development and project management. With the rise of digital tools and platforms, virtual Kanban boards are now a common sight. Apps like Trello, Jira, and also the beloved tabExtend offer digital Kanban boards where tasks are represented by "cards" that move through columns or "lanes" representing stages of a process. It's fascinating to think that a system inspired by supermarket stocking has transformed the way many industries, especially tech, approach productivity and workflow." That's it for todays history lesson. Please ask away about our product, the libraries we use, bootstrapping, and maybe the most important question: who made the video? 😄. Also, follow for more product launches very soon 🙏. Cheers!

Thanks for the history lesson! I had no idea Kanban started in a grocery store. This seems like a great tool to use and help me to not clutter my mind/computer with a million tabs per day. I am notorious for having too many, getting overwhelmed and shutting the whole browser down. Super helpful!

One of the useful tools that I use every day. Organizing the tabs like tasks in Kanban view is awesome.

I love tabExtend and have been use it everyday. It solved a problem I didn't even know I had and now I can't live without it.

looks awesome....video is compelling....how do you see the difference with an inbrowser too like Miro or other tools like these? just interested in your thoughts behind chrome plugin, tab based format...

Oh, I like this idea! My chrome always will have over 70 tabs, it can help me solve this complex game!

I absolutely love tabExtend. Now that I have been using it for more than a year, it's become an indispensable tool in my daily workflow. It allows me to have all my regularly used sites & services come up everytime I open a tab and gives me a super easy way to grab links, notes, addresses and google maps, throw them into a note and have them available on my phone or PC. It's instant. Maybe one of the best utilities I've purchased.

I am a big fan of this product! The people who created it are excellent communicators who quickly respond to user feedback. In 2021, I inquired if there was a way to change URLs, and we had a few email exchanges on the subject. The team was amiable and added the feature I requested. They even emailed me to inform me that the feature had been implemented, which was a nice touch! These minor improvements have significantly improved my user experience. However, I am eagerly anticipating a version for Firefox! 😃

Boom! Love it. Transforming your new tab into a Kanban board is a creative and efficient way to manage your tasks and activities right from your browser.

Tab Extend works well and helps with work flow through the day. I like the way you can effortlessly open and close folders with just a click of your mouse. Have several different work areas, open single or multiple programs at one time. Have several folders open at one time. Use color coding for all your spaces. Have descriptive notes along with your saved hotlinks to websites and much more. A great way to shave time off your work day.

This is an incredible product! Well done and congratulations on the launch! I’d live to test it for a week or two and then leave another feedback! 🎯

Let's just say that @gustav_ekerot is my favorite extension developer of all time. I use this more than anything I have ever used in my professional career. I have so many websites to keep track of, and this is my "go-to tool" every time I open my browser. I also love that I can share tabs and sites with my team. This tool should be the number 1 extension of all time. No joke, it's that good!

Gustav is the man. And I ❤ tabExtend. I have been a user of tabExtend since I first installed the pre-release version (un-released at that time on the Chrome store) in December 2020. Gustav has poured his heart and soul into this product. And it shows. He has always been quick to fix any bugs or quirks and implement suggestions quickly. And he is constantly improving and making tabExtend better. I always look forward to my frequent emails from Gustav, where he talks about all the new features he has implemented. He truly loves working on tabExtend, which shows in every product aspect. If you want to get your browsing and tabs under control and more organized, then you can't go wrong with tabExtend. Congrats Gustav! 👍

One of the best paid apps I use on a daily basis. Makes it possible for anyone to get and keep your tabs organized. What I like most and makes this app different form other solutions is it's visual based Kanban layout. Easier to identify and find stuff. Thank for creating this.

tabExtend is amazing, we use it all day every day. It's our new tab to do and link list. It streamlines context switching better than any application we have ever used. We have each of our projects set up in there with links to everything we need in the project. One click and I have a tab group for in seconds. We even put very lite to do items in there as its shared with the team. It just keeps getting better as well!
