Switchboard puts two WhatsApp Web accounts in one Windows app. Keep separate persistent logins, switch with clear labels and global shortcuts, or use split view. Includes account-aware alerts, tray indicators, a compact sidebar, and saved layout settings. Built with Rust, Tauri, and WebView2. Open-source code on GitHub; build locally, no prebuilt installer yet. Unofficial and not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta.
Hey Product Hunt!
I use two WhatsApp accounts in separate Chrome profiles. Switching profiles kept taking me to the wrong account, so I wanted one clearly labelled place for both.
That's why I made Switchboard: a Windows desktop workspace for two separately linked WhatsApp Web accounts. Each account keeps its own saved login. You can switch between Personal and Work or open them side by side, with purple and amber labels to make the accounts easy to tell apart.
It includes global shortcuts to summon the app and jump to the next account reporting unread chats, account-labelled Windows alerts, tray indicators, a compact sidebar, and saved layout settings. It's built with Rust, Tauri 2, and WebView2.
This launch is source-only: the code is on GitHub with build instructions. There isn't a prebuilt installer yet. The gallery uses illustrative sample content, not live account captures.
Switchboard is an unofficial wrapper and isn't affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta.
If you use two WhatsApp accounts on Windows, I'd love your feedback on switching, notifications, and setup. What would make it easier to use every day?
