It flags hidden sugar in the ingredient list too (dextrose, maltodextrin, and other names sugar hides behind), and if there's no barcode, you can snap a photo of the ingredients label and AI reads it for you. I built SweetTruth because I kept getting surprised at how much sugar was hiding in stuff that didn't even taste that sweet — sauces, "healthy" granola bars, flavored yogurt. Reading nutrition labels every time I shopped got tedious, so I built an app that does it in one scan.
