I'm Yasser, a student and solo developer, and I am incredibly excited to open up SWAPSPOT to the community today! 🎓
I built SWAPSPOT because campus peer-to-peer commerce feels completely fragmented. Students are stuck jumping between chaotic local group chats, sketchy social media posts, or outdated marketplace listings just to trade books and gear. Inspired by the frictionless nature of the WeChat "Super App" model, I wanted to design a single, clean, and unified digital infrastructure built entirely around student-to-student swapping.
The app is a full-stack project built from scratch using Vite, React, and Firebase.
