SuperFolders brings semantic and full-text search across local files and email into a Mac workspace with previews. DEVONthink is a broader document-management environment; my focus here is the retrieval workflow and choice of AI model.
The current Mac version requires Apple Silicon and macOS 14 or newer. Built-in AI can run offline after its initial download; optional external providers receive the content needed for requests. Personal, non-commercial use is free; commercial use needs a separate licence. The gallery shows the current SuperFoldersNPM 1.0.4 interface with fictional English demo documents: search results, file-type filtering, full previews and gallery view. No personal files or connected email account were used.
