SupaKnock
Self-hosted chat, feedback boards, and forms for your app
Give your app a support desk you control. SupaKnock combines customer chat, feedback boards, and forms in one Docker container. Embed the widgets or build your own UI with the API. Use SQLite, PostgreSQL, or Supabase. Optional AI answers from approved knowledge and read-only app tools, with sources and a human handoff. Already used in our own apps, including Audiology for questions about podcast episodes.
Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Arron, the maker of SupaKnock.
I build apps, and I wanted one place to answer customer questions, collect feature requests, and handle form submissions without rebuilding the same support features for each app.
SupaKnock runs on your own server in a single Docker container. Start with SQLite, add the chat widget, share a feedback board, or embed a form. There’s also an API if you want the experience to feel native to your app.
AI is optional. Bring your own provider, approve the knowledge and read-only tools it can use, and take over when a person is needed. In Audiology, we use it to let listeners ask questions about a podcast episode, with answers that can cite the transcript.
I’m already using it in my own apps and would love to hear from other developers trying it. The self-hosted app is available now; the iPhone companion is coming soon. I'd be happy to allow early access to the iPhone app for interested users!
What would you need to see before using SupaKnock in your app? And if you try the Docker setup, I’d really like to know where you get stuck.
