Top comment

Hey everyone, I built Sunny Side Down after repeatedly running into the same problem while traveling: choosing a window seat and only realizing later that I'd picked the side getting blasted by the sun for the next few hours. Whether it's a flight, train, bus, or road trip, I found myself wondering if there was a simple way to know which side would be more comfortable before starting the journey. Sunny Side Down takes a route, date, and departure time and estimates which side of the journey is likely to have less direct sunlight. This started as a weekend project and a fun technical challenge, but after showing it to friends, I realized a lot of people had experienced the same annoyance. I'd love to hear what you think. Is this something you'd actually use while planning a trip? Are there travel scenarios or features you'd want to see added? Thanks for checking it out, and I'm happy to answer any questions.
