Hi Product Hunt! I’m Takahiro, the maker of SUBLO. I built SUBLO after trying ad-blocking browsers and realizing that I did not want to abandon Safari just to get a cleaner web. The browser switch was more annoying than the problem I was trying to solve. SUBLO takes a different approach. It works inside Safari and lets you hide an entire unwanted domain directly from supported search results. Tap Hide once, and that domain stays out of future Google, Yahoo! JAPAN, Bing, and DuckDuckGo results opened in Safari. SUBLO also includes local Safari ad protection for supported banners, sticky ads, overlays, and dynamically inserted ad containers. The goal is not to promise that every ad on the internet will disappear. It is to remove as much visual junk as safely possible without breaking the page you actually came to read. The community layer is called Search Block Rank. People can optionally share a structured reason when blocking a domain. SUBLO aggregates only the domain and optional reason, never search queries, complete browsing history, or page content. As the community grows, the ranking can reveal which sites people block most and why. The free plan lets anyone hide up to 10 domains and view the top three Block Rank results. PRO adds unlimited blocks, supported Safari ad removal, iCloud sync, full rankings, and reason ratios. I would especially love feedback on three things: 1. Which search engines or result layouts should we support next? 2. Which kinds of intrusive ads are still getting through? 3. Would you use community-powered Auto Block rules in the future? Thank you for checking out SUBLO. I’m excited to keep making Safari cleaner without asking people to change browsers.

Who hunted SUBLO?

SUBLO was hunted by Takahiro Aminaga. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
