I'm Daniel, the builder of Sublime To Do. I'm excited to share Sublime To Do - a minimalist, keyboard-driven todo app for macOS that brings text editor visual efficiency to task management. I used .txt files for managing my tasks. I liked the simple approach to organizing work. But the organizing became time consuming. So I built Sublime To Do! 🎯 Key Features: - Clean, monospaced interface inspired - Simple to do philosophy, either you are working on something or you are not - Project tags for better organization - Quick task entry - just type and press Enter - Native macOS experience with dark mode support 🐛 Known Limitations (Being Worked On): - Need light mode theme color fix - Keyboard shortcuts still being worked on - Thinking about adding filter and data backup for cross-device syncing ❤️ Try It Out: I'd love for the Product Hunt community to try Sublime Todo and share your thoughts! It's available on the Mac App Store, and I'm actively working on new features based on user feedback. Dan

Randomly came across a mention of this app. This is a beautiful take on plain text todo management. I love it, and I think it could benefit from the following: [ ] Build help documentation/onboarding sequence #wishlist [ ] Add keyboard shortcut or @tagging syntax for scheduling a todo to @today #wishlist [ ] Add global keyboard shortcuts for quick capture/open Sublime ToDo #wishlist [ ] Allow shift+return to add notes to a todo #wishlist [ ] Allow manual sorting of todos #wishlist [ ] Allow bulk-edit of items #wishlist [ ] Allow copy of todo list to plain text #wishlist [ ] Allow export to markdown/taskpaper/todo.txt/some other wideliy recognised plain text todo management syntax #wishlist [ ] Recognise #hashtags as project tags #wishlist [ ] Allow filtering/sorting by project tag #wishlist [ ] Item on list doesn't show assigned Project tag until mouse hovers over it #bugs [ ] Autocomplete #hashtags from existing project list #wishlist [ ] Enable undo for adding/deleting/modifying todos #wishlist All in all, excited to see how this one develops! (this list was made with Sublime ToDo)

Just tried it. I'm not a fan of to-do-lists but I loved this one. It reminds me of something similar that I made in qBasic back in the day :P Good work :-)

Congrats, @danieldewar. I noticed when adding a new task, it goes to the bottom of the list—it might confuse users at first. What are your thoughts on showing new tasks at the top with a green text that fades to white? It could add a terminal-like vibe and improve UX.

Wow, Sublime To Do looks like the perfect tool for someone who loves the simplicity of text-based task management but needs a bit more structure and efficiency! 🚀 The monospaced interface and keyboard-driven functionality are super appealing—feels like it’s made for productivity nerds like me. 🙌

Like that console look :) For me, it is minimalistic and convenient. Easy to used to it. :)
