Hi Product Hunt, I built StyleKit because AI-generated frontend UI often lands in the same generic SaaS look.
StyleKit is an open-source style library for AI coding workflows. You can browse 136 visual styles, inspect design tokens, copy prompt/rules guidance, use component recipes, install shadcn theme tokens, and export style guidance for tools like Cursor, Claude Code, v0, and Windsurf.
What is usable today:
- web catalog with live style previews
- design tokens and prompt guidance
- component recipes
- shadcn theme token registry endpoints
- Figma token and IDE config exports
- English and Chinese style discovery
What is still early:
- the shadcn install is a theme token install, not a complete component system
- CLI and MCP packages are contributor previews from a local checkout
- StyleKit gives AI tools stronger visual constraints, but it does not guarantee production-ready AI output by itself
I would love feedback on which styles feel useful for real products, which ones are too vague, and what would make StyleKit more useful inside your AI coding workflow.

The interesting part here may not just be generating UI from prompts, but helping people develop a consistent visual direction before they start generating. Do you see StyleKit more as a prompt library, or as a system for making design taste more repeatable?
The export options blew me away, especially being able to grab design tokens straight into my Tailwind setup without rewriting anything. Wish more design tools worked this smoothly with my actual stack.
Love how the design tokens travel cleanly between Tailwind and shadcn without losing fidelity. That kind of export consistency is what separates a real design system from a prompt list.
It would be super helpful if there was a live preview mode where I could paste a design token and see how it renders across all 136 styles at once. Right now I have to manually toggle between each style to compare, which gets tedious when I'm trying to narrow things down quickly.
