I built this because I'm getting into vinyl as a hobby, and I didn't feel like laboriously going through my favorite Apple Music albums one by one to buy them. Why not just import my whole heavy rotation list, which is exposed by the MusicKit API? From there, I added Tidal and Discogs, which both have comprehensive and fairly open APIs. Spotify, unfortunately, does not -- you have to apply and they gate on having 250K+ MAU, so that's probably a ways away. The site monetizes via eBay affiliate links with a Amazon price comparison option (the live price API is also gated, so you have to click into the Amazon link to check right now).
How often does the eBay pricing data refresh, and does it factor in shipping costs or just the listed price? Curious how accurate the valuations end up being for sealed vs used copies.
How does it pick the eBay listings, just the cheapest one or do you get to see a few options to choose from?
Pasted in a few of my wishlist titles and got eBay hits with clear grading notes right away. The Amazon comparison link next to each result is a nice touch for quick sanity checks on pricing.
