I built STOPPorn because it’s the kind of app I wish I had while struggling with compulsive habits.
A lot of recovery apps felt cluttered with information and tools, which made them feel overwhelming before I even started. I wanted STOPPorn to feel simple, focused, and easy to use.
One feature I’m especially proud of is the Sobriety Pin System. Instead of only tracking daily streaks, users can mark each moment they choose a healthier habit. Overcoming an urge is a real accomplishment, and I wanted the app to recognize those wins throughout the day, not just at the end of it.
I’d love feedback from anyone interested in recovery tools, accountability, or wellness-focused app design.
How does the anonymous accountability partner matching actually work, and do you have any safeguards in place to protect user privacy given how sensitive this topic is for a lot of people?
The accountability partner feature feels surprisingly human. I matched with someone the same week and we just check in on our streaks, no judgment, no weirdness.
