My partner and I were constantly trapped in a frustrating loop of messy shared notes, broken tracking spreadsheets, and repetitive text messages asking "did we run out of milk?" or "do we have flour?" every time someone went near a store. Traditional grocery applications felt incredibly bloated with intrusive ad networks, while complex AI solutions introduced too much friction and messy data-entry errors.
I built Stocked to solve this with pure operational velocity. It is a cloud-synced, real-time utility focused strictly on 1-tap tracking speed. Every single item card updates across devices instantly via highly optimized, lightweight Firestore background synchronization.
Here is exactly how it works:
⚡ 1-Tap Status Cycling: Tap any card once to flip its state between In Stock, Running Low, or Out. Your partner’s phone syncs the change in the background instantly. That's the whole interaction—one thumb, one tap, done.
⏱️ Automatic Supply Duration Timers: Tell Stocked how long a household staple typically lasts (e.g., 2 weeks, 1 month). The cloud database tracks the countdown automatically from the moment you restock, sending an intelligent notification before you completely run dry.
🛒 The Extras List (One-Off Purchases): Not every item belongs in a permanent inventory tracking rotation. We built a dedicated Extras List for random, one-off grocery needs. Add an item, check it off at the shop, and it vanishes from the cloud dashboard automatically.
👥 Zero Friction Shared Households: Invite your partner or flatmates by email. Everyone views and manipulates the exact same database state in real time.
