I’m Iulia, a software engineer and founder of Steam Focus.
I built Steam Focus because I was tired of productivity apps that made focus feel like punishment. Most app blockers are useful, but they can feel harsh: block everything, feel guilty, repeat.
Steam Focus is my attempt to make focusing feel more like entering a cosy little world.
You can:
• start focus, study, reading or writing sessions
• block distracting apps during a session
• choose ambient cafés and soundscapes
• set a focus intention before you begin
• check in with your mood after
• track streaks, minutes, topics and reading progress
The bigger idea behind it is simple: create more than you consume.
