60% of group trips die in the chat — nobody wants to nag friends for dates, budgets, and vibes. Staynow fixes that with Angel Mode. Start a groupchat, flip Angel on, and step away. It DMs each person privately, pulls their preferences, spots conflicts (Sarah wants July 1st, Mike wants July 15th), and proposes fixes. Your dashboard fills up live, then Angel generates an itinerary built on real alignment — not the loudest voice. It's in beta. We'd love your feedback.

We grew up in the hotelier community, and we’ve seen firsthand how mom-and-pop motels/hotels, the lifeblood of so many cities and towns, are slowly being squeezed out by big OTAs and brands. What started as the internet empowering small businesses with listings has turned into a system where some players take as much as 35% off the top.

The result is hotels losing margin, owners losing passion, and properties no longer getting the love and upgrades they deserve. That doesn’t just hurt the hotel, it hurts the entire destination. When local hotels can’t thrive, travelers stop coming, and communities lose out.

StayNow was built to break that cycle, by offering fairer rates, smarter AI-powered tools, and a more collaborative way to travel, putting hospitality back in the hands of people who truly care about it—hoteliers and guests alike.

What makes Staynow different

Honestly? Group travel is broken. You've probably lived this: someone in the chat says "we should go somewhere!" everyone reacts with 🙌 and then... nothing. Weeks pass. Dates never get pinned. Nobody wants to be the one nagging people for their budget or vibe preferences. Around 60% of group trips fall apart at exactly this stage — not because people don't want to go, but because coordinating five different humans with five different schedules, budgets, and travel styles is genuinely exhausting. Someone has to play project manager, and nobody volunteers.

Staynow is a multiplayer travel planner built specifically for this mess. And the feature we're most excited about is Angel Mode.

How Angel Mode works

You start a groupchat in Staynow the way you'd start any other — invite your friends, family, coworkers, whoever's coming. Then you flip on Angel Mode and step away.

Behind the scenes, Angel quietly DMs each person individually. It asks them about their budget, the dates that actually work for them, what kind of trip they're in the mood for, dealbreakers, dietary stuff, whether they want a chill beach week or something more adventurous — all the stuff that's awkward to ask publicly because nobody wants to be the person holding up the group or admitting they can't afford the fancy option. Private 1:1s remove that social pressure entirely, so people give honest answers instead of just agreeing with whoever spoke last.

Already aligned on some things? Skip them.

Sometimes a group already knows part of the plan. Maybe you've all agreed it's a Tokyo trip in October, and the only open questions are budget and activities. No problem — before you launch Angel Mode, you can configure what's already locked in, and Angel will skip those questions entirely. It won't waste anyone's time asking "where should we go?" when the answer is already Tokyo. Instead, it focuses its DMs on the things still up in the air: "What's your nightly hotel budget?" "Are you up for a day trip to Hakone?" "Any food restrictions I should flag?"

You can lock in destination, dates, vibe, group size, accommodations — whatever you've already nailed down. Angel adapts around it.

The dashboard

As those private conversations happen, your dashboard fills up in real time. You can watch preferences come in, see where people overlap, and — most importantly — see where they don't. Angel detects conflicts automatically (Sarah can only do the first week of July, Mike can only do the second) and proposes alignment solutions instead of just flagging the problem. Once there's enough signal, it generates an itinerary built around what the group actually agreed on, not what one loud person pushed for.

Why this is different from existing tools

Most "group travel" tools today are basically shared spreadsheets with extra steps — they assume the hard part is organizing information. The hard part is actually getting humans to commit and align in the first place. Angel does that social labor for you, privately and patiently, in a way no human organizer really wants to.

It took us a few years to get the conflict detection and alignment logic to where it is now, and it's genuinely smart — but it's still in beta, and we'd love your feedback as you use it. If something feels off or there's a coordination problem it doesn't handle well yet, tell us. That's how it gets better.
