StayInsider started the way most side projects do: out of our own experience.
We used to dig deep before every trip, sometimes spending hours researching neighborhoods, reading local forums, and cross-referencing maps. And we realized everyone else was doing the exact same work. Travel blogs were either fluffy SEO listicles or outdated. Booking sites gave you filters, not context. Nobody was just telling you: "Stay HERE if you want to walk everywhere, stay THERE if you are on a budget, avoid THAT area at night."
So we started writing it down. We score neighborhoods on the stuff that matters (safety, walkability, transport, price), we recommend specific hotels we have stayed in or researched obsessively, and we share the honest downsides too.
