I built Statix because I was fed up with the "free tiers" of modern headless CMS platforms. They tempt you with a free start, but as soon as your project grows, you hit a wall: API request limits, asset storage quotas, or restrictions on how many team members can log in. They lock your data into their proprietary cloud and force you into expensive subscriptions.
Statix is my response to that. It is 100% free, open-source, and has absolutely zero limits.
Since it uses a file-based architecture (content/content.json), your data lives right inside your GitHub repository alongside your code. This means:
• No API limits: Your content is bundled or fetched locally.
• No user caps: Anyone with repo access can update content.
• No hidden infrastructure costs: Total freedom to modify and host anywhere.
With create-statix-cms and the react-statix package (featuring the clean useStatix() hook), you get a blazing-fast, minimalist developer experience without the corporate bloat.
