I've been designing products and services in all kinds of contexts for over a decade. B2B, B2C, non-profit, places where I've been the only designer and places where I've been one of 30, Photoshop to Figma Make. In all that time I've been amazed by how long it can take to do things that should be pretty simple. Visualise a user journey, for example - we're made to manually step through what users are doing in the actual app and take screenshots or video recordings. For complex journeys with lots of branching paths this can take weeks, and back and forth with all kinds of stakeholders to make sure we're not missing something important. Statecraft is designed to make that easier. You can import a journey directly from your app's repo on Github, Gitlab, or your machine. It runs on your frontend, so all your components, tokens, typography, spacing and more are all there waiting for you to use, no manually hand-crafting stuff that already exists. When you want to make a change you can drag and drop like you do today, or work with whatever coding agent you use for prototyping to visualise what it's working on in real-time, with your design system at its disposal. When you've made changes you're ready to hand over, you can export your project as a Notion or Linear document, a Github or Gitlab issue, or even as a PR. And it's got all the basic stuff you'd expect from design software - comments, versioning, workspaces, a native LLM assistant.

Who hunted Statecraft?

Statecraft was hunted by Dominic White. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
