StashRaid
Free, beautiful and modern raid calculator and planning tool
Create a plan to figure out how much space you get with different RAID setups – things like RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, SHR, SHR-2, and ZFS Z1/Z2/Z3. We need to think about how much space is used for error checking, how well it protects your data, and how to handle mixed-size drives in SHR. Use a tool to make it easy, one that suggests the right hardware based on what you need. Design, configure, and purchase what you need in minutes.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I built this to solve a headache I run into every time I build a new array.
I was tired of the standard deployment loop:
Digging through docs to verify redundancy limits.
Using generic calculators that don't account for hardware limitations.
Realizing my planned design doesn't have supporting hardware, forcing a total redesign.
This app combines the calculator, the redundancy logic, and the hardware validation into one step. I'd love for you to try it out and let me know if it saves you as much time as it saves me!
