Stars Organizer
Sort your GitHub stars into Lists that sync back to GitHub
Hundreds of GitHub stars and no way to find anything? Stars Organizer gives you search, tags, ratings and notes on top of your stars, and sorts them into GitHub Lists that sync back to GitHub. A health score per repo to let you remove dead projects from your lists. Run it with one command (npx github-stars-organizer) using your gh CLI login. Open source, no telemetry, and it backs up your Lists before every launch.
I star a lot of repos (465 so far), but keeping them organized was unpleasant: no easy way to sort them, spot the dead ones, or find one again. I built Stars Organizer to re-discover, organize and share the repos I've found.
Stars Organizer runs locally: `npx github-stars-organizer` and it uses your existing `gh auth login`. It gives you: - A "Not in any list" pile to work through, with changes synced to your real GitHub Lists - A health score per repo (commit recency, issue resolution, contributors, star growth, releases) so abandoned projects stand out - Tags, 1-5 star ratings and private notes - A backup before every launch, and a restore that only adds back what's missing - Self-host it with Docker and AI agents can manage your Lists through the same HTTP API the UI uses.

I'd love to hear how you organize your stars today, and what would make the health score more useful.
