Starlie is for the Jira work you do every day: find an issue, see what’s going on, update it, leave a comment, move it across the board, and get back to work. Smooth Kanban drag and drop, quick filters, JQL autocomplete, custom fields, Quick Look, reminders, and ⌘K for recent issues. Works with Jira Cloud and self-hosted Jira too. Private by design, with no analytics or tracking. Open coding tasks in Claude Code or Codex with issue context and your local project attached.
Hi Product Hunt 👋
I’m Artem, one of the makers behind Starlie.
We built Starlie because everyday Jira work on a Mac shouldn’t mean hunting through browser tabs. It’s a fast, native, keyboard-driven Jira client focused on the daily workflow.
With Starlie, you can:
• Kanban
• Update tickets and run your sprint on a native board
• Open an issue directly in Claude or Codex with its context and local project attached
• Jump to any issue with ⌘K and search with full JQL
Starlie works with Jira Cloud and self-hosted Jira.
It’s private by design: your Jira data is stored only on your device and in your Atlassian account. We collect no usage data, and there’s no analytics or tracking in the app.
You can try everything free for seven days.
We’d love your honest feedback: what still pulls you back to Jira in the browser?
jira in a browser tab is such a specific kind of pain, glad someone's fixing it natively. curious how it handles custom workflows though - every org I've worked at has admin-locked transitions (can't skip straight to Done, needs approval first, that kind of thing). does starlie read those rules from the Jira project config, or is there a risk of showing a transition that the server will just reject?
Very tired of Jira heaviness
This sounds like a tool that will solve it
Thank for what you’re doing
That sounds promising -I think I'll give it a try.
Good luck with the launch!
This looks super clean, congrats on shipping 🙌 Quick question, does it support multiple accounts?
Congrats on the launch! 🚀 I was so disappointed when Atlassian discontinued the native Jira app for Mac. Using Jira in the browser has never felt quite right to me, and I’ve periodically searched for a proper native alternative ever since. Very happy to see someone building this properly.
Hi! It took a lot of effort from us to ship this app.
We actually started in March, 2026, and it's our first indie-hacking project together. We would really appreciate if you try our app out.
We're open to any feedback and adjusting the product to your needs. We also tried to make it really affordable and worth your money.

Starlie was hunted by Artem Belkov. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
