Hunted byMatthew AbbottMatthew Abbott

StarLane is a tiny ship on floating platforms in the dark. You steer. You jump the gaps. You clip a barrier you swear wasn’t there. The score is distance in meters. The king sits at the top of the board until someone goes further. Practice is free and still somehow rude. Paid packs start at $1 when you’re ready to mean it. There is no prize. Just the lane, your last crash, and the quiet urge to try one more run.

Hey Product Hunt —

I built StarLane, and I’m not going to pretend it’s nice.

It’s an endless lane in the dark. A little ship. Gaps that open a fraction too late. Barriers that feel personal. You die, you mutter, you Launch again. Distance is the score. Beat the king and the lane is yours until the next person who also couldn’t leave it alone.

What’s in it:

Practice for free (still annoying)
Packs from $1 when you want real attempts
A king on the board you will hate by name
No prize. No loot. Just meters
If it ruins five minutes of your day, leave a comment and tell me which gap did it. If you beat the king, I want the screenshot and a little remorse.

Try it: https://starlane.run

Interesting fact: We use PI to seed the lanes, so everyone gets the same experience, regardless of device - it's annoying, but it's fair!

What have we landed today?

We're increased the variety of taunts that play when you crash your ship. This range of mockery is intended to incense you!
We've added more share options, including static images you can share to your socials, but now also a Make a clip function which will generate a 15 second video you can post too!

tried free practice for a bit, the barrier timing really does feel unfair right up until you clock that it's consistent and you just weren't reading the lane far enough ahead. smart to keep practice free and gate the leaderboard-eligible runs behind packs instead of paywalling the whole game, means the "no" isn't losing you the person who was never going to pay anyway
