StanceNote
Structured stock research for Claude Code and Codex
StanceNote is a stock analysis workflow for self-directed investors using Claude Code or Codex, with structured bull case, bear case, watchouts, and decision framing.
Hey everyone, I’m Shawn, maker of StanceNote.
This project was partly inspired by the TradingAgents open-source project. I liked the core idea, but I wanted something that fit more naturally into the tools I already use, especially Claude Code and Codex.
My pain point was pretty simple: I wanted a structured stock research workflow without piecing together prompts, scripts, and extra API setup myself.
So I built StanceNote for people who already use coding agents and want a calmer way to think through a stock before they buy, hold, or sell.
It helps turn a messy stream of headlines and opinions into a more structured brief with:
- fundamental/market/sentiment/macro analysis
- bull/bear case
- risk analysis
- a clearer decision lens
It’s not a trading bot, and it’s not financial advice. The goal is just to make stock analysis more structured and less noisy inside a workflow technical users already have.
