I built Stage byAnt as a small, curated place for useful apps, indie tools, student projects, and thoughtful experiments.
The idea is simple: not every good project needs to be ranked, boosted, or turned into a competition. Stage is manually reviewed, with no paid Featured spots and no artificial rankings. Just a cleaner way to put useful projects in front of people who might appreciate them.
It started from my own experience building and sharing indie apps, and realizing that many small but thoughtful projects deserve a simple place to be discovered.

Love the story-first angle, feels much more human than the usual upvote grind. One idea: add a small "follow this builder" option so you can get pinged when they ship a new update or post a follow-up story. That way the people who actually care about the maker's journey can keep up without the platform turning into another noisy feed.
Love the no-rankings approach, it really does feel more human than typical launch feeds. One idea: a small "needs help with" tag on each story so visitors can quickly see if a project is looking for beta testers, a co-founder, or feedback, and match that with what they can offer.
