Hi! Today, I'm super excited to introduce a service designed to help business owners to find clients, competitors, and new opportunities. It's called Stackpointer - a business search engine, with an AI twist: https://stackpointer.ai It allows you to search for businesses in plain English, including searches based on their tech stack. It provides details like business information, location, social media links, emails and tech stack. Great for lead generation, as we offer the option to export search results. After working for the tech industry for many years, about 5 months ago I decided to start my own business. While researching business ideas I needed a way to quickly see what's out there, what already existed. There are several business search engines out there but I found them either too expensive or somewhat clunky. I was particularly interested in filtering businesses based on their tech stack. I could use BuiltWith, their stack analysis is really good but I did find their business categorization to be inconsistent, their prices too big and their font too small :) So I decided to start my own search engine. I created my own indexing engine that browses business' websites and indexes their information and tech stack. Stackpointer does not index random websites, we focus exclusively on verified businesses. On top of this I added simple, ChatGPT-like search. So users can run very cool queries like: > "find me all digital marketing agencies based in New York" or even better, tech-specific searches: > "give me a list of retail businesses using shopify" Additionally, I use real traffic information to rank all those businesses (Top 1k, 5k, 10k etc... most visited). Searching is available for free upon signing up, with limited results. Subscription plans offer more results and the ability to export. I'd love to hear people's feedback (quite nervous as a first time business owner!).

We've been trying various ways to find new clients. Seems like Stackpointer is the tool we're been looking for. Glad I didn't miss this.

This looks like a valuable tool for sales and marketing professionals looking to gain a competitive edge. The ability to quickly identify potential clients, analyze competitors' tech stacks, and generate targeted lead lists could be a huge time-saver. I'm interested in learning more about how accurate the AI-powered search engine is and how customizable the lead lists are. Overall, this seems like a promising tool for business development and market research.

@reginaldl congrats on creating Stackpointer! It looks like a cross between https://builtwith.com/ and a B2B contact database which is a great combination to save time finding the right prospects!

This serves a great need in the nomadic lifestyle community. Your average app for meeting people does not include many people open to travelers and their lifestyle and values. Great job!!

If it could be more precise, I might try using it. Congratulations on the release.

How accurate is the tech stack analysis, and how often is the data updated? Looking forward to trying it out and seeing how it can enhance our lead generation efforts. Best of luck with your launch!

Hi, good job on making this tool. 5 months sounds fast . My question is what is behind the UI. Is there a connection to a database of real businesses or is it an advanced chatGPT prompt that formats the results?

@reginaldl congratulations on launching Stackpointer! I have one question, I have tried a few other business search engines and the problem that I have faced with them is that the information provided on the tech stack is generally a bit old (example : if a business has updated their tech stack and search engines continuing to show it's still being used). These cases dilute the lead quality. How are you solving for it?

Congrats on the launch! Could you elaborate on how the AI improves the accuracy of business categorization and tech stack identification compared to other platforms?

As someone always on the lookout for new opportunities, the ability to search businesses by tech stack and other specific criteria is fantastic. The plain English search feature makes it incredibly user-friendly. One standout feature is the export option for search results, which is perfect for lead generation. A suggestion: adding more customization options for the lead lists could enhance usability. Design-wise, a more modern and cohesive interface would elevate the user experience. Kudos to @reginaldl for creating such a powerful tool.
