SReader is a single-file Vanilla JS e-reader that brings a high-end 3D book flipping experience straight to your browser using pure WebGL and GLSL shaders. No libraries, no bloat. Features a premium dark UI, smart tactile gestures, safe encoding architecture, and auto-resume.
Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Stephaniia, creator of SReader.
I wanted to build a premium, hyper-realistic e-reader that runs entirely in a single file without bulky frameworks or external libraries. Powered by clean Vanilla JS and low-level GLSL shaders, SReader renders genuine 3D paper-folds directly on the GPU. It packs auto-resume, encoding safeguards, and smart gestures into a mobile-first premium dark UI.
Can't wait to hear your feedback! What features should we build next?
How does it handle really long books or PDFs with tons of images, does the single-file setup get sluggish after a few hundred pages or does the WebGL stuff stay smooth the whole way through?
the 3D page turning via raw WebGL with zero dependencies is genuinely impressive, especially how smooth the gestures feel on touch. beautiful work cramming all that into a single file.
