Social Media

This social network is a combination of Twitter and Reddit. It takes the best of both worlds where you can both follow the people you love, and have great, in-depth conversations with them and others. A clean, simple interface that facilitates conversation.

Hey everyone. I created this social network out of a personal want. I use and enjoy both Twitter and Reddit, but each of them is lacking what the other has. Twitter is great for following notable people (and sometimes interacting with them!), but the UI doesn't facilitate conversation very well. Reddit is great for conversations, but not good for following people. There needed to be something in between the two, which I personally waited for someone else to create. To this day, no one has. So I decided to just create it myself. Introducing Squabbles! You can follow the people you find interesting, and you can have in-depth conversations as well. You can "tweet", and your followers can see your posts. You can join conversations with multiple people, in a format that facilitates it, and you can browse communities on subjects you love. I believe this can be a huge success, but I need your help! What do you need to do? Just use it! The biggest problem with social networks is the cold start problem. We need users to get more users! We've already gained 20k+ users, and gaining more everyday. Let's create something amazing together.

This social network effectively blends the personability of Twitter and the discourse depth of Reddit, fostering rich, meaningful interactions. Its clean, simple interface further supports easy and enjoyable communication, making it an inviting platform for dynamic social exchange.

This is wild! Just wanted to thank everyone who responded to me asking about the users. Being honest, i've never been a big reddit user, but seeing so many of you come from that platform, join Squabbles and then become super advocates is awesome to see. I'm signing up on Squabbles now to give it a shot:D

Loved it. How did you mange to get the early 10k adopters? What were the traffic channels?

Great amalgamation between reddit and twitter. Also way more civil than the aforementioned social media. This could very well be the next big social media site. I recommend everyone to at least give it a try.

I don't use twitter, but I love Reddit. I am thrilled to find out how much I will like squabbles. Congrats!

This is truly a special idea, congrats on bring the world a much needed social network.

I was always loved Reddit and toyed with using Twitter. Truly, this app merges the two together in a way that makes a lot of sense and works pretty darn great.

This website is the Reddit alternative we're all looking for. The dev is also an unstoppable machine, and I can't what to see what comes next.

It's a decent app with a decent development flow. I just wish the owner and others would stop spamming their own website and begging for people to vote for their product. This is very annoying. The discord and the website is essentially vote-begging 24/7. Now they pinned announcements about voting and even shoved a banner on the top of the website. This 100% violates the "Do not spam" community guideline. https://help.producthunt.com/en/...

When reddit was making poor decisions I was getting fed up and looking for an alternative. I found squabbles. Squabbles is not a reddit alternative its something more. I love it. Everyone should try it out.

I joined Squabbles on June 12 as a result of all the craziness going on at Reddit. I never really used twitter myself unless it was to check out something a celebrity/politician or company said. I lurked Reddit pretty hard for years and made a few comments here or there but nothing substantial. Moving to Squabbles has changed the way I interact online. I went from a silent presence to someone not only actively engaging but also taking a bit of a lead running communities and connecting with people. I could spend time talking about the UI, the mobile apps in development (in fact, if you go to /s/3rdPartyApps you'll see I reviewed both in beta currently) and the crazy fast responsiveness of the dev, but when it comes to social media... users engaging, sharing and making connections is what seperates the social media sites that fail from the ones that change the game. It's early days for Squabbles but from the moment I found the site, it was the community there and the focus of the site that made it easy for someone like me (and I suspect many of our current userbase) wanting to stick around and cheering for Squabbles to succeed. I look forward to seeing how the site continues to grow and evolve and hope to lend a small hand in helping that happen. /u/HeyitsAnna

Didn't think I could find a replacement for reddit but this definitely fits the bill
