Hi Product Hunt! I'm Dilla, co-founder & CPO of SPUN.
A few years ago I moved to Japan for a job and got fired on my first day. Restructuring, nothing I did wrong. Should've been annoying but recoverable. Except I was stuck. I'm Indonesian, I'd lived in the UK for 4 years, and I couldn't just go back. My visa there was tied to that old job. Suddenly I'm in a country I just arrived in, no job, and no clear path back to the place I'd actually built a life in.
Then I tried job hunting abroad and hit the same wall over and over. Every option came with a visa problem attached, and visa problems are genuinely hard to research. Rules are scattered, they change without notice, and half of what you need to know is buried in embassy PDFs or Facebook groups. Nobody builds proper tools for this because it's not exciting, it's just tedious. That's schlep blindness. The problem isn't invisible, it's just annoying enough that everyone avoids fixing it.
That's why SPUN exists. We treat visas like infrastructure instead of a one-off form to suffer through: AI-verified checklists based on your actual profile, autofill instead of retyping the same info six times, and an actual status dashboard instead of silence. 12,000+ applications processed, 99%+ approval rate. Now we're pushing into B2B, travel agents and OTAs who deal with this same mess at scale.
Ask me anything, and if a visa has ever wrecked your plans, I want to hear it.
genuinely curious—does the pricing run per application or is there some kind of monthly subscription if someone like a relocation agency needs to file a bunch of these every month?
Really enjoyed reading the founder story—it makes the problem feel very tangible. One thing I'm curious about: since visa requirements can change frequently and sometimes without much notice, what's been the biggest challenge in keeping the AI guidance accurate and reliable across so many countries? It feels like that's one of the hardest problems to solve in this space.
Finally someone making this less painful. The interface looks clean and having 100+ permit types in one place beats the usual email-back-and-forth mess I've dealt with before.
A real time tracker showing where your application is in the review process would be incredibly helpful, even if its just stages like "received," "in review," and "approved." Right now I have no idea if things are moving or stuck.
curious about the 99%+ approval rate number. is that measured across everyone who starts an application, or does the AI checklist flag likely-to-fail cases early and steer people away before they submit? those are very different claims - one is about how good your product is at prepping paperwork, the other is about how good it is at filtering out cases it can't help with. genuinely relevant for the visa I'm dealing with right now since I'd want to know if a clean submission actually means anything if my case is unusual
