I'm Lotte, and I built Spotties because of my partner.
He kites, climbs and paraglides, and every time we travel the same thing happens. He shows up at a beautiful spot in a country he's never been to, doesn't know a single person, and spends half the trip trying to find locals or other riders through Facebook groups, cold DMs and pure luck.
Sometimes it works. Often it doesn't.
The problem is real and it's everywhere: adventure sport travelers arriving at unfamiliar spots with no way to connect with the local community. WhatsApp groups you can't find. Facebook posts that get ignored.
So I built Spotties. A map-based community app where adventure sport travelers can:

🌬️ Check live conditions posted by locals (not just the forecast)
💬 Coordinate with your group in the event chat

🦺 Stay safe. Kitesurfing or paragliding alone is genuinely dangerous, and Spotties makes it easy to always have someone watching out for you
🏠 Not just for travelers, it's just as useful at your home spot for meeting new riders and growing your local crew
We launched quietly a few weeks ago and already have 140+ real riders using it across Europe, North Africa and the US. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive; people have been asking for something like this for years.
Spotties is free to use. No app store required, it runs in your browser.
