Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I built Spot Authenticator because existing 2FA apps never felt quite right.
Google Authenticator is simple, but long lists quickly become hard to scan. Microsoft Authenticator packs in so many identity features that the core experience can feel crowded. Authy offers convenient syncing, but relies on an account and centralized service.
I wanted something different: a fast, private authenticator that works offline, requires no account, and keeps users in control of their data.
Spot started with a visual grid for finding codes faster, then evolved into a fully customizable authenticator with search, grid and list layouts, encrypted backups, optional sync, custom colors, fonts, animations, and multiple themes—including Material Block and Liquid Glass.
The goal is simple: make everyday security faster, clearer, and more personal.
What frustrates you most about your current authenticator?
Finally a way to actually see which code is for which account instead of squinting at my texts. The countdown timer is kind of a game changer honestly.
The grid layout is such a smart call—seeing expiry countdowns at a glance beats digging through a cluttered list every time. Clean execution.
