I built Splix because I am sick of corporate apps turning basic bill-splitting into subscription-bloated tracking tools. Splix is a zero-nonsense group expense ledger designed to do one job: track who owes what. No data harvesting, no recurring fees, and no algorithmic noise—just a clean, digital concrete interface. Pay once, own it forever. Link with friends effortlessly via phone numbers, log your balances, and keep shared group finances perfectly straight.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I’ve always felt a bit disconnected from modern app design. Somewhere along the way, regular utility apps became incredibly uniform—every interface started using the same rounded corners, the same safe gradients, and the same predictable, sterile layouts. I wanted to build something different. I believe that everyday utility apps don’t have to look identical; they can be unique, tasteful, and full of distinct character. Lately, I’ve been deeply exploring brutalism as a functional design language for user experiences. It’s raw, honest, and unyielding. With AI finally acting as a powerful technical bridge, I realized I could translate my exact creative vision into functional code. It allowed me to design and build an application entirely on my own terms—intentionally breaking traditional UX rules to satisfy a creative itch rather than following a corporate playbook. Splix is the first result of that effort. Let's be completely honest: it doesn’t reinvent the wheel, and it doesn't try to compete with the endless feature creep or bloated tools that other apps in this space offer. But it absolutely has its own distinct taste, visual weight, and visual identity. I know a brutalist, digital concrete aesthetic isn't going to appeal to everyone, and I’m definitely not chasing moonshot download numbers or mass-market saturation. My goal is simply to create an ongoing portfolio of apps that are minimal, uncompromising, and brutalist in their own unique way. I built this for the folks who appreciate intentional design, raw layouts, and straightforward utilities. I would love to hear what the design and developer community here thinks! Thanks for checking it out, Hemanth
