For over a decade, I've struggled with the act of splitting the bill after a meal. It's unfair, awkward, and time-consuming. That's why I created splitty – to make the process seamless and enjoyable.
Here's how it works:
• Snap. Hold your phone over a receipt or upload one from your camera roll to get started. splitty uses advanced AI & ML tools to automatically identify the restaurant, the items you ordered, prices, and tax for you. It’ll even tell you how much to tip!
• Personalize your splits. Everything’s split by default, but it’s real easy to tweak. Have friends who didn’t share an item? Simply tap on their names and splitty will automatically compute their new total (tax + tip included).
• Seamless payments. Once your bill is split, you can charge your friends the exact amount they owe (incl. tax + tip) with splitty’s seamless Venmo integration. No more back-of-the-napkin math, chasing down payments, or friends not remembering what they’d ordered!

I was wondering what ML/AI tech you used to read the receipt, but most importantly how did you differentiate what the name, address of the restaurant is, what the prices for each dish is, etc.
