Hey everyone,
When I was nine, my uncle was over for a family dinner. While everyone was putting their shoes on, he sat back down and asked for a pen and paper. He tore it into small pieces, wrote a share of the restaurant bill on each one, 10%, 15%, 20%, up until they covered the whole thing, and a couple that just said Free Meal. He folded them, mixed them in his hands, and told everyone to pick one. Whatever you got was what you paid.
My mom got the free meal. My dad, who had been announcing for five minutes that he was going to get it, drew the highest share. That was the joke for the rest of the night.
We never played it again. He moved abroad a few years later. But twelve years on, that evening is still the clearest thing I remember from my childhood, and I eventually worked out why. It was never about splitting a bill. It took the most boring two minutes of an evening and made them the part everyone remembered.
So I built it. SplitRoulette is that game. Everyone joins, you enter the bill, everyone draws a random share, someone eats free. The shares always add up to the exact total.
It's my first app. Would love to know what you think, and I'm around all day for questions.

Who hunted SplitRoulette?
SplitRoulette was hunted by DormData Studio.
