Split My Excel
Split, merge & convert spreadsheets — 100% in your browser
Every online Excel tool makes you upload your file to a stranger's server. SplitMyExcel doesn't. It runs 100% in your browser, so your file never leaves your device — watch the Network tab and you'll see zero uploads. Split a spreadsheet into separate files by any column, merge files, remove duplicates, fix broken CSV encoding, change delimiters, and convert between Excel, CSV and JSON. Works withxlsx, xls, csv and Google Sheets, even millions of rows. No signup, no limits. Free.
Hey hunters 👋
I kept needing to split a spreadsheet into separate files — one per region, per department, per client — and every "online Excel splitter" wanted me to upload my file to their server. For anything with real data (salaries, customers, finances), that's a hard no.
So I built SplitMyExcel: it runs entirely in your browser. Your file never leaves your device — you can watch the Network tab and see zero uploads. Open it, drop a file, pick a column, download your split files. Done in seconds.
It also does the other boring spreadsheet chores: merge files, remove duplicates, fix broken CSV encoding, change delimiters, and convert between Excel/CSV/JSON. Works with .xlsx, .xls, .csv and Google Sheets — and it happily chewed through a 2-million-row file in testing.
No signup. No row limits. No "upgrade to continue." Free.
Would love your feedback — especially what spreadsheet task eats your time that I should build next. 🙏
